Poverty has forced her brother to work after school, and consequently his grades have dropped.  Although her mother has a vision problem, she has decided to work harder to support her children to continue their education. Right now, they are living in an unsanitary and unhealthful circumstances and their house should be demolished immediately.

However, since the grandfather is very old and Mani’s uncle is doing his military service, this family cannot afford to renovate the house. He is a very smart student but because of his sickness, his grades dropped a bit recently. When Milad was only six months, he was diagnosed with kidney disease and needed kidney transplant surgery immediately. Milad's father, who is a truck driver, had to sell his truck to pay for the surgery expenses.

Since then, the family has been challenged with financial problems. When Milad went under kidney transplant surgery four years ago, unfortunately, he was faced with kidney failure. Finally, his father had to remortgage his house and get a loan from the bank to pay for the medical expenses and regular injections. It has been four years now that his father has not been able to reimburse the loan and the bank has put the house in foreclosure. The family had to move to their grandparent’s house. Since this family receives no other financial help and Milad has also a sister who goes to university, they are greatly in need of financial assistance.

Ahmad is a 20 year old boy who lives in a small village in Mahabad. Ahmad is both mentally and physically handicapped. He is suffering from brain paralysis (Cerebral Palsy) since his birth. Ahmad is living in such a critical condition that his parents had to enchain him in a very small isolated dark room. His feet and hands are swollen and inflated because of enchainment. In order to heat the room, his parents use an oil burning heater on which they put a piece of brick to save the heat. It is so dangerous that Ahmad may hit the heater any time and the fire starts.

Ahmad was hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital for a while but his parents could not afford the expenses anymore, so they had to bring him home and hold him with chains. Ahmad has two brothers and one sister. His sister is divorced recently and she is living with her parents too. Ahmad’s father is a daily-paid seasonal worker and does not receive enough wages.

Ahmad is severely sick and shows reactions such as kicking and hitting towards others, or tries to free himself and run away. His mother is extremely worried about her son and she wishes to transfer Ahmad into a charity organization or a psychiatric hospital so that they might take a good care of him. However, this wish has not been fulfilled yet because of their poverty. Ahmad is in great need of financial help.

The children’s share has been invested on a land and it is legally impossible to sell it before they get to the legal age.

Amir is suffering from blood cancer and every three months, he needs to go to Tehran to receive medication and treatment. Hadiss' father was a truck driver and died six years ago due to heart disease. Since then, Hadiss is living with her mother and her younger sister along with her grandmother. Hadiss’ sister was born seven months after her father’s death. They are living in a very small house in the south part of the city which is the poorest area. They share the corridor with another tenant who lives upstairs. There is not enough light in this house except through a shared window which is between the house and a store and a lot of noise is heard through the window. Hadiss’ grandmother pays the rent although she does not have a provider and her only income is through the insurance of her deceased husband who worked in a bakery. Hadiss’ aunt visits them from time to time and provides clothes for her and her sister. Since this family does not have any provider and Hadiss’ mother does not work, they are in great need of help.

Nadia's father was a taxi driver but a cyst was found in his kidney and he had to undergo a surgery which resulted in him losing 80% of his kidneys’ functionality. Nadia’s only brother who was in 11th grade, dropped out of school and is now working as a simple laborer to help his family.
