Children of the Month

To provide immediate assistance to children living in emergency situations, and to help you learn more about the children assisted through Child Foundation's programs, we have created a special Children of the Month list. Each child's biography is listed below.

As you read the children's stories, you will notice that each child's situation is similar, yet different. They are all experiencing poverty and hardship, but each child has risen above his or her circumstances to succeed academically.

       Please consider

Samaneh, Iranian (YAS376)
Samaneh is a charming five year old who has not yet started school.

Her family moved to the city of Sabzevar after her father passed away from a stroke three years ago. Her mother works as a school janitor, but her small income only pays for the cost of renting a single room apartment. The family has very little money for food, clothing and other basic necessities. As the family’s living situation does not provide a kitchen, or any other household utilities, they have been forced to use an outdoor tent as a makeshift kitchen.

To improve the family’s quality of life, Samaneh needs one or more sponsors.
