Farzad is an eight-year-old boy from the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh province of Afghanistan. He is a smart and talented young boy currently studying in second grade. He is very polite and also loves playing soccer. He lives in a family of eight. His father has been imprisoned for three years on charges of theft. Farzad’s mother takes care of her six small children on her own, and she can barely keep up with feeding them and providing clothing for them. She does some sewing and works to clean other houses to bring home a small income, but because she has two very small children she can’t work full time. Farzad has three other siblings are students, and their mother cannot afford their educational costs. Their grandmother who is very old also lives with them. This family is struggling to get by every day and Farzad is in desperate need of your help. Your generosity will help this young boy stay in school and continue his education towards a better future.
