Many Persian-American artists, musicians, singers, dancers, comedians and traditional character players, along with more than 75 booths offering exotic foods, jewelry, crafts, books, goods and products, will engage in the Persian New Year Arrival Celebration at third-annual event on Sunday, March 16, 2014.

Shohreh Asemi, well known Persian-American stage actress, journalist, TV producer and the host and founder of Nowruz Festival Organization, has announced the names of more than 50 musicians, vocalists, dancers and DJs, along with the names of more than 75 artists, jewelry-craft makers, food providers, goods and vendors who will participate in this years’ Nowruz Festival.

Entering its third year, the Nowruz Festival continues to hold true to its mission to celebrate and keep alive the ancient, historical and most important Persian celebration.

It all takes place in the beautiful Reston Town Center. Both on stage and along famous Market Street, the festival becomes vibrant theater, gallery, classroom and bazaar to learn, discover and enjoy the Persian art, music, dance, food and spring arrival traditions and celebrations.

“The festival was the most successful event of all times in Reston Town Center,” said the Festival Organizer, Shohreh Asemi. “The third Nowruz Festival marks another year of continued motivation, celebration and success. All the artists, musicians, performers, business owners and food, goods, and product providers whom are participating share in our vision of honoring and celebrating Persian traditions and culture. Everyone leaves this festival inspired to admire and give the deserved respect to Iran’s long and rich history and culture.”

Asemi added, “I am very excited about the third Nowruz Festival. This huge on-street event takes the normal Persian celebrations to the next level. This year we plan to go above and beyond to encourage all citizens to join and enjoy the tradition, while learning more about real Iran and its real people and culture.”
