Karuna, 16 permanent resident of Bajhang district, now living in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu. Her parents moved to Kathmandu for better opportunity before 15 years. Her father was a police man but in an accident his leg got fractured. He was forced to leave his job. Now he cannot do manual work on daily basis. Karuna’s mother has a small shop and this is the only way of their income. They are having so many problems at a time in this crowded city of Kathmandu.
Karuna is very sincere student in her school. She has so much potentials and she is hardworking student. She helps her parents in daily work, in their business of that small shop. And she is also very supportive to her mother.

Shintiya is an smart girl in Middle school. Her father is a temporary worker with uncertain income which barely covers the family’s daily needs. Shitiya’s mother is just an ordinary housewife unable to work and help the family. According to our social worker this family has very poor economic condition. Shintiya lives with her parents in her very simple grandmother’s house with a very basic AssocRICS. However, she goes to school diligently and she really wants to continue her study up to college level. Her families are really in trouble keeping their children at school and help them for their expectation and help Shintiya make her dreams came true without your support.

Manita is now 11, studying in grade 5th grade in kavre school district. Her parents are farmers who have no cash income. She is the cousin of Rasila Gurung so her background is the same as Rasila. She has two brothers and two elder sisters. They have big family with 7 members. But only their parents are living in Kavre and all 5 children are living with Rasila’s Elder sibling and grandmother in Bhaktapur.
Manita has skin infection and related problems which need treatment. Actually the problem appears in rainy season around her ankles, knees and legs and after medication it goes but after few days it appears again. For regular check up and for the medicines, they have financial problem so most of the time they neglect the problem. Manita needs our support to be healthy and be able to continue her education.
