Position: Volunteer Marketing and Communications Board Advisor (REMOTE) 

Child Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in Portland, Oregon, with programs supporting children globally.  

Purpose: 

To support underprivileged children to succeed in education and achieve safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives.


Mission: 
Since Child Foundation's inception in 1994, Child Foundation has provided necessities to children living in poverty or hardship, enhancing the quality of life for these children and their respective families. Child Foundation increases access to education. This prevents children from dropping out of school into early matrimony, detrimental child labor, and other dangers. Child Foundation also supports children advancing successfully in their education. 


Opportunity:

Child Foundation is accepting letters of interest for a volunteer board advisory role with strategic marketing and communications experience for the organization. A board advisor is a volunteer position and advisor to the volunteer board of directors of the organization, impacting the organization's overall strategic direction. This is a wonderful opportunity for a leader or burgeoning leader in the digital media, marketing, and/or communications space to provide volunteer advisory support to this nonprofit and make an impact for good. Areas of advisory may include but are not limited to:

• Advise on optimum strategy around organization branding
•  Advise on optimum strategy around organizational marketing and communications, including social media, digital •  •  presence, digital media, and website
•  Advise the board on strategic board planning around marketing and communications
•  Advise on the best tools, applications, and platforms for bolstering marketing and communications
•  Advisory support on information and perceptions related to market issues and trends
•  Advisor on strategic Volunteer ambassadorship for the mission and organization
