Bring Bread to Afghanistan
The UN reports that around 23 million people in Afghanistan are facing extreme hunger. As a result, Child Foundation Afghanistan has already networked with 70+ bakeries in Kabul, Mazar-e Sharif, and Bamiyan in Afghanistan to provide bread for our sponsored children and their families to eat nearly everyday.
Our partner social workers issue bread vouchers to sponsored children and their families. Each day in Mazar-e Sharif, remaining loaves are given to other families in need so there is no waste and we can fight the hunger felt by other families. As of our last report on May 17, 500,000+ freshly baked loaves of (barbari) bread have been delivered already (5-8 loaves per family) and we are just getting started.
Join us in bringing bread to Afghanistan. The Bring Bread Campaign (named the Kindness Campaign in Afghanistan) will supplement the monthly support already flowing to our sponsored children, other humanitarian aid (like food packages with diverse foodstuffs), and school support.
