Children In Yemen Need Our Help

In response to the devastating humanitarian crisis in Yemen, Child Foundation is calling our community to action to help children in need. The violence in Yemen has caused more than 8,000 deaths, with over 11 million children needing urgent humanitarian assistance. More recently, there has been an outbreak of cholera and diphtheria that has infected over 900,000 people.

To this end, Child foundation has decided to support the medical humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). Child Foundation will provide financial assistance to specific MSF programs within Yemen to help improve the current humanitarian crisis that is taking place there.

Child Foundation funding will support MSF's cholera prevention activities, including health education, awareness messages shared with local mosques and radio stations, distribution of hygiene and disinfection kits, setup of Oral Rehydration Points, and medical staff infection control training. Through your donations, Child Foundation will help fund MSF's vaccination campaign, in collaboration with local health authorities, to provide cholera and diphtheria patients with the necessary treatment to impede future outbreaks.

MSF works in 13 hospitals and health centers in Yemen and provides support to more than 20 hospitals or health centers across 12 Yemeni governorates: Taiz, Aden, Al-Dhale', Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Ibb, Sana'a, Hodaida, Abyan, Shabwa, and Lahj. With nearly 1,600 staff nationwide, Yemen is among MSF´s largest projects in the world.

Join Child Foundation to ensure the children of Yemen are not forgotten. Your contributions will help the future of Yemen – its children.
