How does one small girl born in Abadan, Iran grow up to be a New York Times bestseller, not once but twice over? You’re invited to find out. Dr. Hossein Ardehali and Child Foundation will host an intimate online talk with the famed and hilarious  Firoozeh Dumas on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at 2 pm (CST). 

With remarkable humor, Firoozeh Dumas has spent her writing career reflecting her experiences as a child moving back and forth between Iran and the United States. Insights abound in the award-winning Funny in Farsi and Laughing Without an Accent. And with her more recent young adult publication, It Ain’t Awful, Falafel, Mrs. Dumas has induced laughter across generations, inspiring all to apply a comedic lens to life with a generous and kind heart
