Leave a Legacy Behind
A wonderful way to give back and make an impact is by bequeathing property, stocks, or a specific amount or percentage of your estate to the Child Foundation. A legacy gift is a tremendous way to help secure future funding for our work, and to help keep as many children as possible in school.
Your legacy gift can make a lasting difference, with the most common being a bequest in your will. A bequest is one of the easiest ways to leave a planned gift, as it is flexible and as simple as adding a few sentences to your will or living trust. You can also list Child Foundation among the beneficiaries on a life insurance policy.
Below is an example of wording that can be used in your will:
“I hereby bequeath to Child Foundation, Federal Tax I.D. number 93-1148608, a nonprofit organization operating under the laws of the State of Oregon, and located in Portland, Oregon, the sum of $ ------ (or percentage of your estate or specific description of the gift) to be used by Child Foundation in fulfilling of their mission.”
It is always recommended to check with your financial adviser on which options would work best for you.
