Maliha *

ID Number: Rose 365

Maliha is a shy girl who started school just this year and entered a completely new world. She is 6 years old from Mazare Sharif, Afghanistan. Maliha lost her father 3 years ago due to diabetes. This is hard for Maliha’s mother who, after losing her partner and house’s breadwinner, is bearing the responsibility of raising the kids. She cleans houses for a small wage to feed her family. The eldest son of the family, Rafee Ollah, is 17 and finished the fifth grade. He had to quit school after his father passed away and now washes cars in town to make a small income and help his mother. Because of the financial distress that the family was experiencing, Seyfollah, 14 years old, and Kheyrollah, 11, were late to enroll in school and are in the second grade now. Sahar, their youngest sister just turned 4. The rented house they live in is a clay house with a wooden ceiling. They live there together with Maliha’s uncle’s family. All of Maliha’s family lives in a single room. The bathroom is shared between the two families and requires new pipes and a door. They use the neighborhood mosque’s water pump to get their water.

Our lovely Maliha needs your kind help and support to build a bright future for herself and her family. We hope that you help this family.

After reviewing Maliha’s talents, interests, and motivations and taking into consideration the financial needs of the family, Child Foundation has granted a $63/month scholarship to the student.
