The Weaving a Future Project supports single mothers in Afghanistan with sponsored children. Impoverished mothers -- breadwinners for their families-- will be trained and supported with tools and materials to weave traditional carpets. The expense of materials, like loom and quality yarn, exclude women from this handicraft. Child Foundation will help facilitate sales of these carpets at fair prices to the mothers so they can finance their next carpets.
